Magic Megan is four-goal hit

FOOTBALL: MEGAN TINDALL scored all four goals as Oldham Athletic under-11s started their North Manchester Girls League season in style.

The young sharp-shooter was the star of the show in the 4-1 defeat of Harpurhey Angels.

Olivia Stagg got both goals as the under-12s drew 2-2 with Denton, while efforts from Emily Vale (two) and Lidia Tunstall sealed a 3-1 for the under-13s against Uppermill.

And the under-14s, with Bethany Marland (two), Jessica Bevan and Feiruz Abdullah on the scoresheet, registered a 4-2 victory over Denton.


LAUREN Parkinson pocketed a hat-trick for Heyside Angels under-16s in a 6-3 defeat of Moston — Blossom Halkyard (two) and Lucy Shaylor got the other goals — while Beth Mellor went one better for under-14s Clarets, who overpowered Chadderton Park 8-0.
She scored four times, with Kelly Ward (two), Abbie Porter and Emma Clayton also finding the net.

Angels Blues were held to a 3-3 draw by Uppermill — Kayleigh Larkin, Catherine Todd and Paige Rowland were the Heyside net-busters — and Angels Clarets under-13s drew 1-1 with Curzon Ashton. Alix Sephton scored for Heyside.

Under-12s Inter 3, with Jade Hughes, Ellie Doggett and Tanishia Williams on target, defeated Middleton Girls 3-0.

Molly Taylor found the net four times as under 11’s Whites brushed aside Delamere Rangers 8-0. Lavinia Whitehead and Ella Rigby shared the other goals.

And under-11s Blues, with Emily Pennells, Antonia Keogh and Ellie Morrison on the mark, beat Uppermill 3-1.


TRAILING 2-0 at the interval, Failsworth Dynamos under-12s stormed back to beat Roach Dynamos 3-2.

Jade Armstrong (two) and Elle Ryan got the goals.

R.O.C.S FC under-13s suffered a 7-3 defeat at the hands of Denton Girls. Abby Bennett (two) and Ashleigh Spragg scored the consolation goals.
