East Manchester Junior League

NATHAN Brooks equalised from the penalty spot as Avro Juniors under-14s drew 1-1 at AFC Pumas in the East Manchester Junior League — but the under-11s were beaten 3-2 by Chadderton FC.

o JAMES Larty, Ryan McConkie and Ben Clark scored for Chadderton Juniors FC under-12s in a narrow 3-2 defeat of AFC Clayton.


Bury and Radcliffe Youth League
GOALS from Ben Ashworth and Tom Ogden secured all three points for Royton Town under-18s in a 2-0 defeat of Chaddy End FC in the Bury and Radcliffe League.



Manchester Mini-Soccer League

Schools Soccer

OLDHAM Schools under-15s start their quest for back-to-back Greater Manchester Schools’ League titles on Saturday.

The talented teenagers will be targeting a repeat of last season’s exploits when, at under-14s level, they were crowned champions with a seven-game unbeaten record.

The town team kick-off their campaign away to Manchester at Wright Robinson College (kick-off 10am).

Steve Patterson’s side are on a revenge mission after losing 4-3 to first-day opponents in the Talbot Cup final.
