Football round up

3D DYNAMOS under-12s hit the perfect 10 at Woodhouse Warriors in the Tameside and District Junior League.

Danny Laithwaite was the shining star, scoring five goals in a game for the first time.

Also on target in the 10-0 romp were Harry Southern, Billy Jackson, Tom Hughes, Matt Hewitt and Callum Wetton.

Joel Longmore scored the only goal of the game as 3D’s under-16s edged out Moorside in a game switched to Clayton playing fields after their Saddleworth pitch was once again deemed unfit.

HEYSIDE JFC under-11s had James Ford (two) and Oliver Deportrillo on the scoresheet in a 3-3 draw against Medlock Vale.

Rochdale and Oldham Youth League

HEYSIDE Juniors under-15s returned from a nine-week lay-off to register an 8-0 home win over Santos in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.

Matthew Dell, Matthew Robinson and Daniel Robertson scored two each, with Joe Burlison and an own goal completing the tally.

CHADDY End FC under-14s had Josh Brown (two) and Jack Griffin on target, in a 3-0 defeat of Heyside Juniors, while the under-12s brushed aside Shawclough 7-1.

Callum Buckley (two), Charlie Burton (two), Ryan Mason, Lewis Newton and Tom Maloney did the damage.

But the under-15s bowed out of the League Cup as they went down 3-1 to Littleborough. Aiden Ball scored the consolation.

CHADDERTON Juniors under-12s came out on top in a nine-goal cup thriller against Park Bridge Celtic.

Shaun Middleton (two), Bradley Humphreys, Liam Eadsforth and an own goal made up the tally in the 5-4 win.

DOMINIC Shaw provided the finishing touch to Springhead under-12s’ defeat of Littleborough.

The youngster’s great strike sealed a 3-1 win after earlier goals from Jack Lent, who scored a first-half equaliser, and Jordan Boland.

North Bury Junior League
A GOAL in each half from Calum Perry clinched a hard-fought 2-1 win for Chaddy Hoppers under-11s over Seedfield in the North Bury Junior League.

Under-12s Blue succumbed to a 4-2 defeat at basement boys Roach Dynamos.

Hoppers had high hopes of a morale-boosting win after they went ahead, but Dynamos hit back to lead 2-1 at the break, before stamping their authority on the game in the second half.

Dan Randle and Zac Douglas scored for Hoppers, who now face a fight to avoid relegation.

The Red team picked up a point in a 1-1 draw against Rossendale United Boys. Josh O’Donnell got the goal.

3D Dynamos under-15s rallied in the second half to sweep aside Gomersal and Cleckheaton 4-1 in the Huddersfield and District Junior League.

Matt Ralph, Elliot Fielding, Alex Kelly and Will Linney scored for 3D, who also had two goals disallowed.

Sam Wilson struck a last-gasp winner for under-12s ‘M’ against Longcroft Lions.

Michael Kitching and Alex Milovanovic were also on the mark as 3D recorded a 3-2 victory.

Manchester Youth League

CHADDY End FC under-11s swept aside Phoenix Athletic 5-0 in the Manchester Youth League.

Matty Kershaw and Aiden Young scored two apiece, while Harry Wilcox got the other.

JOE Laycock scored the consolation goal as Broadway Celtic were beaten 2-1 by Whitworth Park.

Faye treble spurs ROCS
ROCS FC under-16s were pushed all the way by Droylsden Juniors in the Oldham Girls League.

A Faye Hardicre hat-trick, plus other efforts from Amy Ginty, Brittany Birtles and Emma Watson, sealed an exciting 6-4 win for the title-chasers.

The under-14s were also made to work hard in their 3-2 defeat of Rochdale. Megan Jackson, Shona Ninian and Lauren Steel got the goals.

KIRSTY Ainsworth made an impressive debut for Uppermill Rockettes under-13s in their 4-1 defeat of Curzon Ashton. 

The youngster, showing fantastic energy and skill, scored the second goal before half-time and set up number three for Ellen Bergin.

Striker Jayme Butler-Jones got the other two goals.

The under-11s, with Ellie Saxon, Laura Barlow and Katie Lockwood on the mark, enjoyed a 3-1 win over Oldham Athletic Girls.

HEYSIDE Angels under-16s still harbour top honours after a decisive 10-0 defeat of Uppermill’s second team.

Leading the way was Rachel McHugh, who struck four times, while Lois Jacobs (two), Gemma Jacobs (two), Vicki Melia and Jade Morris got the others.

Angels Inter under-13s were beaten 3-0 by Oldham Athletic — Rachel Merritt, Bethany Marland and Natalya Smythe got the goals — but Angels under-12s, with Kinsa Hmami hitting a hat-trick, brushed aside Mossley Juniors 9-0.

Bryony Bolton (two), Alix Sephton (two) Chloe Mellor and Natalie Gregory did the rest of the damage.

Jade Hughes and Hannah Smedley scored for Angels Inter under-11s, who beat Harpurhey United 2-0.

The result not only maintained the team’s unbeaten record but it also enabled them to stretch their lead at the top of the table after Angels Clarets lost 3-1 to Curzon Ashton. Ashleigh Wylie netted the consolation.

ABBY Bennett bagged four goals for Oldham Athletic Girls under-12s in a comprehensive 9-2 victory over Uppermill Rockettes.

Leah Bickerstaffe weighed in with a treble, while there was one each for Alys Wild and Emily Vale.

The under-14s hit seven without reply against Meltham — Keshia Harvey (two), Nicole Scott (two), Feiruz Abdullah, Vicky Connor and Chelsey Holden found the net — but Ashlie Ball’s two goals were in vain as the under-16s conceded a late goal in a 3-2 defeat by Uppermill Rockettes.

Semi-final target
OLDHAM Schools under-15s have their sights set on a place in the semi-finals of the Greater Manchester Schools’ County Cup.

They meet Bolton at Sharples School on Saturday (kick-off 10.30am).

Oldham have found it tough going so far this season, while this weekend’s opponents are challenging for league honours after recording three straight wins.

The under-14s, who are still unbeaten, tackle their Bolton counterparts in the Greater Manchester Schools’ League at The Lancaster Club on Saturday (kick-off 10.30am).

Title hopefuls Oldham have dropped only two points from their five league outings so far this season.

The fixture should have gone ahead last weekend, but was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
