Tameside and District Junior League

CHADDERTON Juniors under-15s have made it 10 wins out of 10 in all competitions.


Mike Taylor got both goals in a 2-0 defeat of Mossley — the team’s eighth success in as many matches in the Tameside and District Junior League.

They are level on points with Brendon Bees, who also boast a perfect record.



A SEAN Murray double, plus other efforts from Aaron Rogers and Luke Midgley, clinched a 4-0 win for 3D Dynamos under-11s ‘M’ against Hollingworth.

Sam Bagshaw and William Wilson scored for under-11s ‘T’ in a 2-2 draw at Medlock, while under-12s ‘T’, with Danny Laithwaite and Callum Wetton on the mark, beat Haughton Rangers 2-1.

But Will Regan’s brace was in vain as the under-16s lost 5-2 against Ridgehill Celtic.


MOORSIDE Juniors under-16s beaten 3-0 by Barr Hill, but the under-13s, with Blane Briggs, Conor Byrne, Martin Kenny and Billy Burgess getting the goals, defeated Whitworth Park 4-2.



KAI Steenson scored the only goal of the game as AFC Oldham under-12s made it five straight victories against Ashton United.

But Lewis Topping’s brace was in vain as the under-11s were edged out 3-2 by Clayton Villa.


BRAD Connell collected all three goals for Failsworth Dynamos under-11s in a 3-2 defeat by Moston Brook JFC.

Tameside Sunday League

CARLTON McIntosh (two), Connor Hughes and Liam Wood weighed in with the goals as Boundary Park Juniors under-14s swept aside Fletcher Moss 4-1 in the Tameside Sunday League.



STEPHEN Cotterill scored the consolation goal for Failsworth West in a 4-1 defeat by Reddish Villa.



EFFORTS from Shaun Freeman and Myers Nield were to no avail as Failsworth Dynamos under-14s were beaten 3-2 by Swinton JFC in division one.



COREY Eastmond scored the consolation goal for Heyside Juniors under-13s, who were beaten 2-1 by Wythenshawe Town.




Rochdale and Oldham Youth League

A SUPERB long-range drive from Adam Howard set Springhead under-13s on their way to a 2-0 win over a hard-working Chaddy Rangers outfit.

Howard broke the deadlock just before half-time, with Kaimmen Morris lobbing the ’keeper 10 minutes from time to seal their fourth victory of the season.

Looking ahead, Springhead have been drawn away to Droylsden Juniors in the fourth round of the County Cup on Sunday, January 4.



CHADDY End FC under-12s were too good for Broadway Celtic, putting 10 past their opponents with no reply.

Lewis Henderson scored four times, Charlie Burton and Ryan Mason bagged a brace apiece, with Sam Haran and Callum Buckley getting the other goals.

Chaddy, after sevens wins out of seven, are six points clear of Chadderton FC Juniors.




CROMPTON Villa under-12s, spearheaded by a Chris May hat-trick, were comfortable 7-3 winners over Chaddy Park.

Lewis Wood (two), Callum McEvilly and Jack Johnson did the rest of the damage for the team in mid-table.




STRIKER Joe Burlison netted four times as Heyside Juniors under-15s secured a 6-2 win at Failsworth Dynamos. Matthew Robinson and Jack Avery were also on target.

Ricardo Dafe and Ross Fox replied for Dynamos.

Meanwhile, the under-13s picked up a point in a 2-2 draw against Northside. Matthew Wyke got both Heyside goals.


BROADWAY Celtic under-15s twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Chaddy End FC.

Jack Molloy and Mahidul Islam scored for Celtic, who remain unbeaten after six games.




North Bury Junior League
A GOAL adrift at the break, Chaddy Hoppers under-12s Blue fought back to beat Elton Sports Club 3-2 in last 16 of the North Bury Junior League Cup.

Hoppers controlled the second half, with Dan Ratcliff, Daniel Randle and Connor Stott converting chances, before Elton responded late on.

The Red team remain top of their table after a 3-0 win at Brandlesholme Warriors.

All three goals came in a dominant first half display through Josh O’Donnell (two) and Ethan Lord.

Meanwhile, under-11s Blue swept aside Westbury Falcons 7-1.

George Belcher led the way with a hat-trick, with further goals from Calum Perry, Aaron Thorpe, Adam Newton and Harry Gratton-Smith.

Manchester Youth League

JOE FAGAN’S fabulous four-goal salvo helped Chaddy End FC under-11s to a 7-2 win over Whitworth Park in the Manchester Youth League.

Harry Wilcox weighed in with a double, while Riley Hamill got the other. 


GOALS from Jordan Slattery and Elliott Malham were not enough as Heyside Juniors under-11s crashed 8-2 against Denton Phoenix.



East Manchester Youth League

GOALS from Connor Ryan and Michael Tierney rewarded a great show from Moorside Juniors under-16s, who were 2-0 winners over AFC Clayton in the East Manchester Youth League.



County Cup

CHADDERTON Park Eagles under-11s required extra time to continue their quest for County Cup glory.

They overcame South Manchester FC 5-3, thanks to goals from J Briers (two), L Jones, T Jones and O Radcliffe.

Schools Soccer

Sam’s strike so crucial


UNBEATEN Oldham Schools under-14s have taken a giant stride towards winning the Greater Manchester Schools’ League title.

Showing great resilience after going a goal down, they fought back to beat fellow championship contenders Tameside 2-1 at the Lancaster Club.

Oldham, who were searching for their third win in the league this season, fell behind after just 10 minutes, but were level pegging at the start of the second half thanks to a Chris Sutherland (Crompton House) goal.

Oldham seemed set for a point as the match entered its final moments, but Failsworth’s Sam Rathbone turned it into three with a tremendous 25-yard strike.

The town team, who have three league fixtures remaining, switch their focus to the first round of the North-West Woodward Cup on Saturday.

They take on Bury at the Lancaster Club (kick-off 10.30am).

The under-15s went down 6-0 to league leaders Tameside.

Trailing 2-0 at the break, the teenagers, who have only one point to their name so far this season, struggled to contain their opponents in the second half and conceded four more.




SADDLEWORTH School Year 10s are through to round four of the English Schools’ Football Association Cup.

Goals from Jack Vasey and Alex Kelly clinched a 2-0 win over Accrington Academy. They now face a trip to Bolton School, with the tie taking place on or before November 29.




Oldham Girls League

Stylish first for Athletic


OLDHAM Athletic Girls under-13s got off the mark in style in the Oldham Girls League.

After four defeats and a draw, they swept aside Chadderton Park 9-0.

Lois Daniels, Abbie Porter and Rachel Merritt scored two each, while Chloe Austin, Keeley Scott and Jessica Bevan got the others.

Lauren Fallon scored the consolation for the under-11s who, with only six players, lost 3-1 to Heyside Angels Inter. Caitlin Senior, Tanishia Williams and an own goal made up Heyside’s tally.

Athletic under-12s were beaten 4-0 by Droylsden Juniors, but the under-16s picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with Heyside Clarets. Shelby Newton scored for Athletic, with Emma Harte replying.

o TWO goals from Katie Lockwood was all Uppermill Rockettes under-11s had to shout about as they lost 7-2 against a strong Curzon Ashton side.

Megan Ashton set the ball rolling for the under-13s in a 4-0 win over Rochdale Ladies.

The young hot-shot went on to complete a hat-trick, with Jayme Butler-Jones getting the other goal.

A sweetly struck shot from Becki Hall put Rockettes under-16s ahead against Heyside Angels, who fought back to earn a share of the spoils through Rachael McHugh.

Rockettes’ seconds went down 4-0 against a stronger Droylsden outfit, who scored two goals in each half.



A PAIGE Rowland double, a Sophie Montgomery strike and an own goal did the damage as Heyside Angels Inter under-13s overcame Curzon Ashton 3-2.
The Clarets lost 3-2 against Harpurhey United — Bethan Robinson and Kelly Ward got the consolation goals — and Alix Sephton scored for under-12s Angels, who also went down 2-1 to Harpurhey United.

But the Clarets, with Alicia Stretton and Ella Milovanovic bagging a brace apiece, were comfortable 4-0 winners over Uppermill Rockettes.


DANIELLE Pickett scored the only goal of the game as R.O.C.S FC under-14s edged out Oldham Athletic Girls.
