Oldham just four-midable

OLDHAM Netball Club's junior teams reaped in the medals at their own action-packed tournament at Hathershaw College.
Four Oldham teams - the under-nines, 11s, 12s and 13s - won gold medals in their age groups, while the under-10s and 14s finished as runners-up.
Chester Gladiators triumphed in the under-14s age group, while Tameside were victorious at under-10s level.
Oldham's under-nines Cygnets triumphed after winning all five of their matches.
They also featured player-of-the-tournament Imogen Hulme.
The Cygnets defeated Harriers 5-4, Ellesmere Port 7-3, Saddleworth Black 8-0, DNA Gold 5-1and Saddleworth Black again, 6-2.
The under-11s won seven matches out of seven on their way to the gold medals.
They beat Saddleworth Red 18-0, Oaksway 12-0, Chevrons 15-1, Saddleworth Black 13-1, Hollinwood Panthers 16-0, Ribble Blue 7-4 and Tameside 6-2.
Oldham's under-12s won all their five group stage matches, before edging out Tameside 7-4 in a thrilling semi-final.
The hosts then saw off Chester 15-6 to secure victory.
The player-of-the-tournament was Ruby Parker.
The under-13s also won all five group games before thumping Oaksway 19-0 in the semi-finals and Trafford 8-4 in the final.
Beth Adamson was the player-of-the-tournament.
Oldham's under-10s Eagles lost 6-4 in a close final against Tameside Yellow after they had earlier won all five of their group stage matches.
The under-14s Hawks made it through to their age group final, where they lost 11-9 to Chester Gladiators.
The Hawks won all four group fixtures, before then defeating Ribble Green 12-5 in the semi-finals.
