MIDFIELDER turned forward, James Atkinson showed his true striking instincts when scoring an amazing NINE goals in one game for Boundary Park Juniors under-12s Blues.
Crompton House Year Seven pupil James bagged his triple hat-trick as Boundary swept aside Abraham Moss 13-3 in a thrilling Manchester Youth League clash.
James' proud dad Steven said: "He is normally a midfielder, but he was up front against Abraham Moss. His first came in the opening 30 seconds when he fired a great shot into the top corner.
"After that he scored some really good goals. One was a header, a couple from long range and a nice chipped effort."
James' nine-goal haul takes his season's tally to 49 - he'll more than likely break the half-century mark this weekend.
The Athletic fan has bagged a few multiple goal hauls this season so far, including a couple of four-timers and a double hat-trick against Chaddy End.
