Roughyeds concern over big casualty list

AIMING for their third home win in a row this weekend, Oldham RL will be anxiously checking on the fitness of several players at tonight's training session.

Danny Langtree, the latest victim, was carried off with a damaged ankle at Whitehaven and he won't be alone when the club's medical team get to work on the walking wounded.

Kenny Hughes and Jamel Chisholm, who have sore ribs, didn't play in Cumbria, but they will be assessed at regular intervals this week in the hope that they will be available for Sunday's contest with Featherstone Rovers (3pm).

With Jon Ford, Tom Ashton and Craig Briscoe on the long-term injury list, coach Scott Naylor doesn't have the luxury of players in reserve.

Vice-captain Sammy Gee was given last weekend off for family reasons, but he is expected to be back in contention as the Roughyeds bid to build on consecutive

home wins against Batley and Sheffield in order to climb out of the Championship's bottom two.

The Featherstone game will be the first at Bower Fold since Naylor's Challenge Cup kings knocked out Hull KR.

Their next assignment is against Super League leaders Warrington Wolves at Bower Fold on Saturday week, May 7.

The tie is not all-ticket, but fans can buy in advance from the club's office at Whitebank.

Seat season-ticket holders will be able to purchase their normal seats up to 4pm on Friday during these times: from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 9.30am to 4pm (Friday).

Main-stand and standing tickets will also be on general sale during those times, priced as follows:

Seats: £17 adults, £14 concessions, £5 under-16s; standing, £15 adults, £12 concessions, £3 under-16s.
