OLDHAM RL Club will announce more signings next week as chairman and coach beaver away at building a squad for the Kingstone Press Championship.
Their 11 opponents in the second tier - several of them full time - will be Bradford Bulls, London Broncos, Sheffield Eagles, Leigh Centurions, Halifax, Featherstone, Dewsbury Rams, Batley Bulldogs, Workington, Whitehaven and the other promoted club, Swinton Lions.
Roughyeds and Swinton, promoted from League One, replace relegated Doncaster and Hunslet.
A dozen signings have been announced so far, including four newcomers in Barrow back-row man Craig Briscoe, Halifax prop Jack Spencer, York winger Jamel Chisholm and Hunslet stand-off Danny Grimshaw.
The other eight are Danny Langtree, Josh Crowley, Phil Joy, Gareth Owen and Michael Ward (forwards) and Lewis Palfrey, Tom Ashton and Adam Clay (backs), who have agreed new deals to stay at Whitebank.
Nine of the 12 have signed one-year contracts, the exceptions being second-row pair Langtree and Crowley, who have each committed to two years, and new-boy Spencer, son of assistant coach Lee Spencer, whose agreement is for a year with an option for a second .
