Oldham slash ticket prices

LOCKED in a three-way battle with Swinton and Rochdale to stay in the Championship, Oldham RL Club have slashed admission prices by £5 for Sunday's crucial Bower Fold clash with Toulouse Olympique (3pm).

All fans have to do to take advantage of the discount is fill in a personal information sheet and hand it in at the turnstiles.

Forms will be available outside the ground and at other pick-up points, which will be announced later.

They can also be downloaded from the club website at www.roughyeds.co.uk

Under-16s will get in FREE but they must also fill in information sheets.

New prices for the rest, on submission of the form, will be £10 standing and £12 for a seat (adults); £7 standing, £9 for a seat (concessions).

Said club chairman Chris Hamilton: "It's a massive game for us and we'd like as many people as possible to get behind the lads, who are fighting like fury to stay up.

"They've shown terrific courage and desire to draw at Batley and win at Rochdale in their last two games and I think everyone will agree that they deserve solid support when they're back on home soil to face a French side that has already clinched top spot in the Shield.

"The club is taking a financial hit to try to get more people to Bower Fold and we hope rugby league fans and sports lovers across the borough will take advantage of the discounts.

"We need fans to be our 18th man on Sunday."

Season-ticket holders attending the game will be entered in a draw to win a signed replica jersey.

Vice-captain Sammy Gee and in-form forward Luke Adamson are urging fans to get behind the team against the Frenchmen and fans can listen to what they say via the club website.

The club has also announced that it will stage a 20th anniversary gala dinner on Friday, November 3 (6.30) at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Guest speaker will be local boxing hero and former WBA lightweight world champion Anthony 'million-dolla' Crolla.

VIP packages include meet-and-greet photo opportunities with Anthony.
