A DEFIANT Scott Naylor will rally his troops tonight after a seventh straight defeat in which Oldham picked up three more serious injuries and were beaten by two fluke tries.

They lost 20-16 to next-to-bottom Dewsbury Rams at Bower Fold after leading until the last five minutes and losing Danny Grimshaw (hamstring), Scott Turner (concussion) and Gareth Owen (suspected broken foot).

Jamel Chisholm was twice recalled for previous infringements when in the clear and Ben Davies and Michael Ward were stopped literally on the Rams line.

Coach Naylor said: "I'm lost for words. It seems like the whole world is against us. Nothing is going for us.

"But we've got to stand together, stand proud and act like men."

Earlier in the day Roughyeds completed the loan signings of London Broncos youngsters Kameron Pearce-Paul, a winger, and Sadiq Adebiyi, a prop.

Both aged 20, and signing initially for a month, they will be at training tonight and will be in the squad for Sunday's game at Bradford Bulls.

Oldham Chris Hamilton said: "We'll also be looking to bring in more lads as we continue to fight to get out of this current situation.

"I'd like to thank everyone who supported us last night. The vocal backing was outstanding.

"It was a classic case of nothing going right for a side that's going through a bad run. We were killed by the bounce of the ball, in two of their tries, and our injuries.

"We've got to go to Bradford determined to get the two points.

"We'll keep fighting and we'll turn the corner - no doubt about that."

Naylor said of the new loan signings: "They are keen young lads and I'm looking forward to working with them."
