Roughyeds wait on duo

SCOTT TURNER
OLDHAM are waiting for Scott Turner and Kieran Gill in the build-up to Sunday's game at London Broncos.
Turner was concussed in the 28-24 win at Dewsbury last week. Protocol dictates that players with head injuries have to follow certain procedures in the days following the injury, so it isn't yet clear whether the full-back will be ready in time.
Centre Gill, recalled from his loan spell by his full-time employers Castleford Tigers, was in the 19-man Tigers squad for last night's game at Huddersfield.
Scott Naylor has question marks concerning both players, but he will hope to have them resolved one way or the other by the time he names his squad to travel south on Sunday morning.
"The journey can take a lot out of you and then we're going up against a full-time team," said the Roughyeds boss.
"The flip side is they don't seem to be getting as many good results as they got last year.
"They beat us 20-18 at Bower Fold, but we were the better side and we should have won. I don't think Andrew Henderson (Broncos coach) would disagree with that."
Broncos finished second to Leigh Centurions last year, but they are currently placed fifth behind Hull KR, Toulouse Olympique, Featherstone Rovers and Halifax.
Added Naylor: "Swinton ran them close at Ealing last week - 38-28 - while we were getting the 'away' monkey off our back at Dewsbury.
"We'll be confident after how well we played against them at Bower Fold. And I think they'll be quietly worried about us."
The five players who didn't figure at Dewsbury last week - Jamel Chisholm, Liam Thompson, Ben Davies, Danny Grimshaw and on-loan Tuoyo Egodo - will all be in contention.
Broncos boss Andrew Henderson said his side was inconsistent during the first half of the season, but he felt they had now turned a corner.
