EMERGING North - headed by Chadderton's very own Danny Seal - has pulled off a real collective coup in securing some awesome bands for its first EN Live all-dayer.
Saturday, June 25, at the Live Room in Manchester, will see highly-rated city outfit the Tapestry headline a stellar line-up of bands.
Also featuring will be the brilliant Larkins, Saytr Play, Stillia and Jordan Drinkwater.
Tickets - priced at £8 - are now on sale.
Log on to Emerging North's Facebook page for ticket detailss, or purchase through skiddle.com.
DON'T forget, as well as the Rainkings show in Oldham this weekend, ace anglo-Portuguese outfit Louie Louie play at the Academy 3 in Manchester on Saturday.
Moorside-based Paul Limer and his band will use the night chiefly to promote their new single launch and support will be provided by the Bright Young People, the Cultures and the Claremonts.
Ticket details via Louie Louie's Facebook page.
WELL done to Oldham-based John Lees and Craig Fletcher's Barclays James Harvest on securing a slot at the Glastonbury Festival.
The guys will headline the acoustic stage on Friday, June 24.
An interview with John and Craig will feature on this page in the coming weeks.
OLDHAM leading lights Cupids and Cabbage have both been announced on the bill for the prestigious Neighbourhood Festival, which takes place across the city on Saturday, October 8.
Circa Waves and Twin Atlantic headline the event, though more big names expected to join shortly.

THE Crash Mats' new album Now that's what I call Crash Mats 69 is now available to order on Amazon.
Eleven tracks are on the Horn and Hoof Records album, priced at £9.99.
THE Dot-to-Dot Festival in Manchester? What a huge success.
Such was that success last Saturday, my review and exclusive audio reactions from Oldham favourites Feed the Kid, Goda Tungl, Louie Louie and Brahma Loka went straight online.
