MUSIC 2: FANS of open-air concerts will be royally entertained as An Evening at the Races has announced three showpiece events.
The legendary Tom Jones will be bringing his huge repertoire of hits to Aintree racecourse on June 10 for a not-to-be-missed night on the green.
Jones is the latest addition to the Liverpool course’s summer season of live shows, with previously-announced Deacon Blue on May 13 and the Corrs at Haydock Park on June 18.

A NEW single named “Kiss the Sun” is apparently due in the spring or summer from re-formed early 1990s favourites The High. The band, which features former Radclyffe School pupil John Matthews as front-man, have also hinted that an album of exciting new material will follow.
WELL done to Oldham teenage outfit The Recreation, whose new single “You” featured on the BBC Introducing radio show with presenters Michelle Hussey and Natalie-Eve Williams.
The single is available on YouTube, Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
DON’T forget it’s Revolution Live — Love Spreads at Whittle’s in Oldham on Saturday night, and at the time of going to press there were still a few tickets left.
Dave Sweetmore and Inspiral Carpets legend Clint Boon will DJ, while live sets from Shadow Palace, Ok Broken and 5ft Fez will light up the place.
OLDHAM punks the Crash Mats have announced that they will feature at the Wonkfest 4 — The Reckoning festival at The Dome in Tufnell Park, London, on Saturday, July 2. Details on their Facebook page.
