Blondie meets Motown meets Morgan show

MUSIC ROUND UP: MOST tastes will be catered for at cracking night of musical entertainment at Uppermill Civic Hall on November 28.
“Blondie Meets Motown Meets Morgan” is the latest of three annual charity blasts that will raise money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, featuring Motown cover band Technique, Blondie tribute act Roxanne, and local legend Morgan. See www.technique online.net for details.
A FUNDRAISING day for Justice for Mineworkers is being staged at the Miners’ Community Arts and Music Centre in Moston on November 14. From 11am El and Tel’s Excellent Soul Adventure will feature alongside question and answer sessions with special guests. Between 5.30-7.30pm a DJ will entertain before local bands OK Broken and the Renaissance play until 11pm.
Tickets to the cinema sessions cost £6 and while entry is free to the main events.
OLDHAM indie rockers The Visitors are getting busy again now drummer Johnny Wray has joined.
The lads play Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe on November 26. They are back in the city on December 19 for the Material Music showcase at Retro Bar in Sackville Street.
TICKETS are selling fast for The High’s return to the stage at Manchester Academy 3 on December 13.
Former Radclyffe School pupil John Matthews heads the former Nineties favourites. My Igloo and Still City Sound will provide support on the night. Call 0161 832 1111 for tickets.
