MUSIC EXTRA: GODA Tungl are gearing up for their appearance at the eagerly-anticipated Carefully Planned Festival in Manchester this weekend.
The four-strong Oldham electro outfit will be one of a huge number of bands showcasing their undoubted talent across a number of Northern Quarter venues on Saturday and Sunday.
Goda Tungl — whose latest EP “Zoo Bar” was released last month — will take centre stage on Saturday at the Castle, from 2.30pm. There’s a ticket link on the band’s Facebook page.

The lads have just announced another date at Manchester’s Hard Rock Cafe. Matt, Joe and Ross will take to the stage at 11pm on November 28, just after modfather Paul Weller finishes playing across the way at the Manchester Arena.
THERE’S plenty on offer for dedicated rock fans at Whittles in Oldham this weekend. Friday sees ‘Mothership’ head into town. The band is widely regarded as one of the premier Led Zeppelin tribute acts. They play from around 9.30pm. Whittles’ Facebook page has admission details.
On Saturday ‘Aces n Eights’ will be belting out their popular tunes: entry will be free.
