Extra date for Inspirals tour

SOME venues are already sold out of tickets for the forthcoming Inspiral Carpets tour alongside fellow 1990s legends Shed 7.

An extra Manchester Academy date has been added on December 12 following the selling-out of tickets fo the original December 11 date.

The Carpets and Rick Witter’s Shed 7 have also sold out nights in Glasgow, London and Leeds for the now 16-date December tour. Check the dates on the Carpets’ official website — www.inspiralcarpets.com


THE decibel levels at Whittles in Oldham will almost go through the roof on September 18, when ace tribute outfit Guns or Roses are in town.

Widely renowned as one of the best Guns n’ Roses tribute bands around, Martin Colley, John Sumbler, Erol Canavan, Dermo Rose Sheen and Padraig Tansey will belt out all the classic tracks from the 90s American rockers. Tickets are £5 each, over the bar or at: www.whittles-oldham.com.


A BIG ‘well done’ to Oldham four-piece outfit Ok Broken, who recently performed two half-hour live acoustic sets at the entrance to the Tesco store in Westwood. The lads got together and impressed passing shoppers as they did their bit for Rock the Shop week.
