Cupids
CUPIDS have enjoyed an outstanding start to the month, having been announced on the The British Sound Project bill for an impressive second year running.
The Oldham/Bury foursome were included in the first announcement for the event, and will be playing alongside the likes of White Lies, The Horrors and Foals (DJ set) on Saturday, September 30 at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse.
Last year's event featured an eye-catching line-up which included Primal Scream, Black Grape and Reverend and the Makers.
Formerly the Gramotones, the adventure for Cupids began in 2015 and since their rebirth the band, which comprises of Ryan Comac, Sid Cooper, Jake Fletcher and James Cardus, have grabbed the bull by its horns and haven't looked back since, winning over the support of many wherever they venture.
As well as the British Sound Project announcement, the band recently announced a full tour of the country, which will see them take on all the major cities over 10 dates, and that's after four dates supporting fellow rising stars The Amazons.
It doesn't look like the buzz surrounding Cupids will be dying down any time soon, especially with the band announcing their next single 'Good Things (Come To Those Who Wait)', which is scheduled for an official release on March 31.
The track has undeniable grooves, filled with dark melodies and an attitude that shows just what the band are made of, as well as a video that is packed with a growing momentum.
Cupids are playing a sold-out single launch show at Jimmy's in Manchester's northern quarter on March 31.
Cooper said: "We're really excited about that. We finally get to play our own show in Manchester again and it's sold out before we even had any music out, so we're all very happy."
