AWARD-winning Bhangra singer H-Dhami and popular duo Bonafide (Maz and Ziggy) head to Oldham Coliseum Theatre for a special one-off gig this Thursday as part of Dhanak, a regular series of entertainment at the Coliseum.

H-Dhami has Bhangra in his blood. His father, Palvinder Dhami, was the lead singer of 80s Bhangra group, Heera, and encouraged him from a young age.

He began his career performing on the UK Mela circuit, sharing the stage with Bollywood greats including Shah Rukh Kahn, and in 2007 was signed to Rishi Rich Productions.

Following his chart-topping debut album, Sake Java, H-Dhami won UK Asian Music Awards for Best Newcomer in 2008 and Best Male Act in 2009.

He will be performing a mix of old favourites and new singles, including 2016's hit single, Clap It.

Rochdale duo Bonafide - Maz Hussain and Ziggy Arien - are singers, rappers, songwriters and composers that use vocals in English, Punjabi and Hindi, and a fusion of commercial R'n'B and contemporary Asian sounds to create their own brand of Brit-Asian music.

Their 2008 debut single, Ishq Hogaya, became an instant hit and reached number one on Asian music stations across the nation, earning them a nomination for Best Newcomer at the UK Asian Music Awards.

In 2010, the duo released a charity single, Jeevay Pakistan, together with a video featuring celebrity cameos, to raise awareness for the victims of the Pakistan floods.

The evening will be hosted by Marcus Nisar, television and radio personality and founder of Media M.
