My best ever gig

FOR every single music lover in our area, there will have been a 'best-ever gig attended' at the iconic Apollo Theatre, Manchester.
Mine was probably seeing Paul Weller in Ardwick during the "Stanley Road" tour in the mid-1990s.
For Cupids' Jake Fletcher, there was a more eclectic feel to his choices. What do you think?
"I saw Elvis Costello there and that was brilliant," said Jake. "He did this 'Spinning Wheel' tour and it was like 'Wheel of Fortune' with all his songs written on it.
"He got people out of the audience to spin the wheel and whatever song it landed on, that's what he played next.
"I've seen a lot of bizarre people there, but one of the best gigs of all was when I was about 13 and I saw the Darkness there.
"Literally, the crowd was swaying and my feet weren't on the floor a lot of the time.
"The Darkness were cheesy and a bit novelty, but the actual night just made me feel like I was at a proper gig for the first time."
Decent choice, Jake!
