ENJOY some festive food and drink at Daisy Nook Garden Centre’s Christmas launch evening from 6.30pm tomorrow.
Get creative with some floral art demonstrations and be wowed by Merlin the Magician. Then on Thursday, from 9am-5pm, children who like bird watching can collect a sheet from the reception desk and find feathered friends throughout the store. The first 50 kids to take part will get a free goody bag.

GET ready for some spooky fun at the Failsworth Performing Arts’ Hallowe’en party on Saturday at the Streetbridge Inn, Roman Road, from 2-4pm. CHILDREN at Mahdlo will be hitting all the right notes thanks to a new karaoke machine bought with the help of a fundraiser. The annual charity Millfest event, organised by The Millgate pub, in Failsworth, dedicated the funds raised this year to Mahdlo Youth Zone. The Millfest team raised almost £300, which was used to buy the karaoke machine.
A 29-YEAR-OLD man was arrested on Hollins Road after failing a roadside breath test.
A 32-year-old man was arrested for criminal damage on Propps Hall Drive at around 4am on Friday.
