JOEL Coleman will stand between his former club and a goal-laden debut first run-out for Stephen Robinson's side tomorrow - for part of the game, at least.

Former Athletic prospect Coleman (20), who joined Huddersfield five weeks ago for an undisclosed fee, is acting as the second-tier club's first-choice goalkeeper in the absence of Danny Ward.

The on-loan Liverpool shot-stopper has been given extended leave due to his involvement with Wales in Euro 2016.

Terriers manager David Wagner will also give some game-time to local forward Harry Bunn at SportsDirect.com Park, while the contest - Town's second public outing of the summer - will also be watched keenly by Andy Hughes, the visitors' first-team coach who began his career with Athletic in the late 1990s.

Huddersfield manager David Wagner, who is entering his second season with the Championship club, has made some notable new signings.

Manchester City's Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy will make his publicdebut for Town, having signed on a season-long loan at John Smith's Stadium, as will Slovenian defender Jon Stankovi?.

Former Dynamo Dresden defender Michael Hefele is another imposing presence at the back, while 6ft 5in defensive midfielder Ivan Paurevi? will provide quite a barrier to get through of his own.

Up front, striker Elias Kachunga is a former Germany under-21s star who is competing with last year's 18-goal man Nahki Wells for a berth up front, having joined on loan from FC Ingolstadt.

"Elias is a hard worker," Wagner told the Huddersfield Examiner. "He is showing exactly what I expected, that he is a striker who is able to work and who likes to work.

IDENTITY

"That is very important within our identity and I think he will fit in well.

"Elias is also able to score, and that is obviously important."

Defender Mark Hudson, who had a spell on loan at Athletic 13 years ago, will probably miss out on selection, but Joe Lolley should be fit to return after sitting out a behind-closed-doors 2-0 win over Rochdale this week.

Huddersfield are set to put out two sides for tomorrow's pre-season game, one for the first hour then a second for the last 30 minutes.
