Draws don’t reflect our dominance

WE played well against Blackpool and were the better side on the night, but needed to take one of the chances that came our way.

It felt a little bit like a loss at full-time, because we had outplayed our opponents. To take one point rather than three was disappointing. But you could argue it’s a good sign that we can go away from home to claim a draw and still not be satisfied.

The same was true last week at Wigan, which is even more telling given their position in the table.

It’s been a big week for us; if you look back to Shrewsbury before that, a huge three games. We have kept three clean sheets in those matches and I feel we should have won all of them, based on the way we performed.

Our task now is simply to keep on going. If we beat Gillingham tomorrow, then it turns into a very positive period of matches for us.

Personally, I am waiting for an opportunity to get out there and perform. I am fit again now and just need to get some game time.

The gaffer knows the qualities I bring to the team and hopefully as the weeks go on, I will be involved more. All I can do, when I get the chance, is impress as much as possible.

Two new strikers have come to us recently to bolster us up front. Hopefully, they will get us a few of the goals we need.

Aaron Amadi-Holloway has been here a little longer than Curtis Main and has already shown he can be a handful. He is strong and quick and has a good touch as well.

Curtis we don’t know as much about,, but he is a good lad and I’m sure he will play a big part for us as well.

The division is so tight at the moment, particularly near the bottom, and few teams have been able to pull away.

Gillingham and Peterborough in the space of four days is not an easy set of games, but we enter them with confidence.
