Justin’s case for tunnel vision

ONE TO WATCH . . . prolific midfielder Bradley Dack, pictured tangling with Athletic skipper Liam Kelly during the 3-3 draw at Gillingham earlier this season, has already found the net 15 times this term.
GILLINGHAM manager Justin Edinburgh has told his players to forget about their rivals for promotion.
The Kent outfit got back to winning ways by seeing off Barnsley 2-1 at their Priestfield fortress at the weekend, with star man Bradley Dack getting the winning goal.
Back in second place — five points behind leaders Burton — the Gills know that with only a third of the campaign left, every game counts if they are to gain promotion for the first time since 2000.
Edinburgh was impressed with Athletic in the 3-3 draw earlier this season — a game the visitors, then unbeaten under David Dunn, were unlucky not to take three points from.
But Gillingham’s focus is firmly on their own fortunes, starting with Saturday’s trip to face Athletic.
“We have 15 games left and we can’t have any say on the others,” Edinburgh told the Kent Messenger.
“I said to the players, ‘we just have to look after ourselves because if you take your eye off it now you will be regretting it’. We can’t affect anyone else’s results.
“All we have got to know is that we come off the pitch and have given everything we have.”
