CONNOR Hughes has followed in the footsteps of James Tarkowski by committing his future to Athletic.
The 18-year-old winger, who has been an unused substitute for Athletic, has penned a two-year professional deal which will keep him at Boundary Park until the summer of 2013.
Hughes's signing means there are now only two members of the youth set-up offered
professional contracts — Matty D Carr and Carl Winchester — who have still to pen deals.
