ATHLETIC may be struggling to hit the net at the moment, but it certainly isn't for the lack of trying.
Official Football League statistics show that Paul Dickov's side have had more shots at goal — on (178) and off-target (190) — than any other club in npower League One, bar Southampton (212 and 191) and free-scoring Peterborough (190 and 195).
Bournemouth are next in the table (183 and 183) with Huddersfield behind them (161 and 192).
Chris Taylor is ninth in the individual shots table, having hit 32 on target and 29 off target, and joint-fourth in the assists standings with nine so far.
ATHLETIC central defender Rod McDonald has joined Evo-Stik Premier club Nantwich Town on loan for a month.
