The Sahar International Short Film Festival is to be held for the 11th Edition. Since the pandemic, the festival has been re-organised into a combination of offline and online formats. This year we have prepared for the Best of Sahar International Short Film Festival with a public screening on the 26th of October, 2- 4 pm at Performance Space, Oldham Library, Greater Manchester. The Festival comprises 28 short films with different genres and themes: Fiction, Documentary, Drama, Animation, Narrative, Music video, Fantasy, Experimental, Human- rights, Horror, Anti-War, Anti Racism, Comedy... To respect and encourage the filmmakers, the trailer of the films will be screened along with the best of the festival selection. In this event, the filmmakers of short films have been invited to add warmth to the ceremony with their presence. About us: The president, organizer and Filmmaker is Mandana Ansari, who lives in Lees, Oldham with her husband and management team leader: Martin Gleeson. Mandana's Daughter is Sahar who is an artist and cinema graduate. Mandana with her artist family and their support, has built on her experience of Media, Art and cinema to create a platform for all Filmmakers to show their talent in the short film format. The first edition was established in 2014 and this year we are up to the 11th edition. The festival is not for profit and fully self-funded. It has always attracted entries from many countries, and this year the Festival films were produced in Europe, Asia, North and South America and North Africa. Best of Fest films will be announced before the day of event on the festival website.
