Kickabout fun

FANCY a kickabout with the kids? Take part in free, family football sessions with Oldham Athletic Community Trust.
They take place from 1pm to 3pm throughout August in Chadderton Hall Park (Mondays), Coalshaw Green Park (Tuesdays) Cedar Crescent (Wednesdays) and Foxdenton Park (Thursdays and Fridays). Under eights must be accompanied by an adult.
Rainbow Kabin Pre-School, Garforth Street, has been rated as good (grade 2) by Ofsted inspectors. The report says that children make good progress at the welcoming and well-resourced pre-school which has well-planned educational programmes.
CRIME reduction specialist Paul Dearnley will be the guest speaker at the next Chadderton Home Watch meeting at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, at 7.30pm on Tuesday next week.
CHILDREN can take part in a free den making session in Foxdenton Park, Foxdenton Lane, from 1 to 3pm on Tuesday next week or a treasure hunt at the same times the following day.
MILLS Hill Baptist Church, Mills Hill Road, is holding a games night for adults at 7pm on Wednesday next week. Sign up on the sheet in church if you want to take part.
Children aged from three to 13 can take part in different activities at the Crossley Centre, Denton Lane, from 4.30 to 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. Sessions cost 50p.
Chadderton Sub Aqua Club meets at Oldham Sports Centre from 7.30 to 9pm on Thursdays for try-dives, training and swims. Its clubhouse in Yorkshire Street is also open from 8.30pm on the same day.
