United expecting focus from De Gea

MANCHESTER United expects David de Gea to maintain his professionalism and fight for a first–team place at Old Trafford - despite seeing his dream move to Real Madrid fall through in acrimonious circumstances.
The day after De Gea’s switch to the Spanish capital was called off, United and Madrid blamed each other for the collapse.
Madrid fired the first shot, issuing a statement yesterday which claimed delays at United’s end had scuppered a deal worth £29million. United claimed it was Madrid’s fault after the club missed the deadline to register the details with FIFA.
A Red Devils statement read: “It is our understanding that the deals couldn’t happen because: Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents in time.”
De Gea is currently on international duty with Spain. United manager Louis van Gaal will attempt to reintegrate the goalkeeper back into the first–team squad. The Dutchman left De Gea out of his squad for the first six matches because he felt the player “lacked focus”.
The club has noted that De Gea has acted professionally throughout the saga
