MANCHESTER United goalkeeper David de Gea has been crowned the club’s player’s player of the year for the second season running.
The Spanish international, who also made it into the PFA team of the year and the six–man shortlist for the PFA player of the year, has kept 10 clean sheets behind a shaky United backline this season.
His stellar performances hasn’t gone unnoticed and he has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer. He gave no hints about his future and praised his team–mates after collecting the award.
“I want to say thank you to my team–mates, they have been fantastic this season and I love them,” he said.
The feeling was reciprocated by a number of the United players, who took to social media to congratulate their colleague.
