Super Sergio sinks QPR

MANCHESTER City manager Manuel Pellegrini claims there is still a lot more improvement to come from prolific striker Sergio Aguero.

Aguero took his tally for the season to 31 from 40 appearances with a hat–trick in yesterday’s 6–0 Barclays Premier League demolition at the Etihad Stadium, which saw QPR relegated

Pellegrini believes the 26–year–old is getting better and better, but still has some way to go before realising his full potential.

The City boss said: “He is working harder during the week. I think he will continue improving in the future. He is just 26. He must be a very important player in the future of this club. He is already, but I think he must continue improving in the way he plays.”

Aguero’s superb return this season comes despite missing a run of seven games in December and January with a knee injury.

Aguero put City on their way to their fourth successive win with the opening goal after just four minutes. Aleksandar Kolarov, James Milner and David Silva also struck in a one–sided game that condemned QPR to the drop.

Pellegrini said: “We don’t change our style. It is important to be a scoring team, not just to score one goal and try to keep the result. We never change that philosophy of football.”
