Judd is trump card in the snooker pack

RONNIE O’Sullivan is the 5-2 favourite to win the World Professional Snooker Championship which gets under way at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre on Saturday.
But the five-times champion insists it his Judd Trump, the man who beat him in the recent Grand Prix, who should be at the head of the betting market.
I am not sure about that assessment, but I do agree with ‘The Rocket” that this is Trump’s best chance of Crucible glory so far.
Bang in-form, consistent and an improved match player, Trump also has a draw which should see him reach the semi-finals without too much fuss before a possible showdown with O’Sullivan, who clearly fears the much younger player. At 13-2, Trump is well worth a flutter.
Neil Robertson, is also worth considering at the same price as, apart from a possible second-round showdown with Ali Carter, I can’t see anyone to stop him from reaching the semis.
As for O’Sullivan, if he brings his ‘A’ game to Sheffield, he will win a sixth title.
But that’s a big “if” for this increasingly-complex character who often looks as though he would rather be anywhere else than in a snooker arena.
RECOMMENDATION: Judd Trump to win World Snooker Championship, 13-2 (general).
