Connor Inman: hot wing challenge
A SHAW man is taking on an eye-watering challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK to celebrate his friend’s freedom from the disease.
Connor Inman has challenged himself to eat 10 “savagely hot” chicken wings to raise funds for the cancer charity at Nathan’s American Diner in Milnrow - known locally for its “Hot as Hell Wings”.
Connor says the wings are so hot, one man recently had to call for an ambulance after eating only four!
“They are savagely hot. I’ve tried the sauce recently and it’s something else. I have to eat 10 or more of these wings within an hour and 10 minutes. I’m eating a lot of spicy food at the moment to prepare my taste buds!”
Connor’s close friend Connor Ormerod (21), from Stockport, was recently treated for cancer of the bile duct: “It was a huge shock to the system when he was diagnosed,” said Connor. “He has beaten it and is in very high spirits.”
Connor is hoping to raise at least £250 at the challenge on Saturday (from 5pm). To donate visit www.justgiving.com/Connor-Inman.
