A DERKER dance school is limbering up for a national competition after waltzing away with an incredible 11 regional titles in one day.
Pure Dance Academy took the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA) North-West finals by storm. The competition saw the Cromford Street-based school enter 41 dancers, picking up a staggering 82 trophies.
Every dancer who represented Pure Dance Academy has now qualified in at least one category to represent the North-West in the national finals at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens in November.
The school will be defending nine national titles won at last year’s competition.
