COOKING up a treat... Marta Krol and MasterChef winner Simon Wood get to work
HEALTHY eating tips from Oldham’s own “MasterChef” Simon Wood were on the menu at the BGreen Village Fete on Friday.
The talented chef was on hand at the Oldham Edge event to offer his own tips on cooking great tasting healthy food on a budget. Residents were also encouraged to share their favourite healthy eating tips and even pick up Simon’s own recipe for the perfect tomato sauce.
Simon said: “It’s great for the community to get together and talk about eating healthier and sharing their experiences. Healthy eating is really important and it can be great-tasting too.”
The event highlighted the work of local growing and cooking groups in the BGreen area of Oldham - formerly St Mary’s Estate.
