ARTY: the pupls and their mural
A CREATIVE mural is on the right track to strengthening links between art students and Chadderton residents.
The colourful artwork covers a wall under what was a litter-strewn bridge carrying Hunt Lane over the entrance to a former goods siding.
Project HeART for Heritage has seen talented art students work with artists from Manchester-based Spearfish Arts, and the Hunt Lane and District Residents’ Association (HADRA).
The mural reflects the railway heritage, local wildlife and the history and community spirit of Chadderton, with some help from the Chadderton Historical Society.
