VISITORS can turn back time when a Vintage Weekend is staged in Dobcross on July 25 and 26.
The annual event organised by the Dobcross Village Community offers two days of activities to raise funds to support village initiatives.
On the Saturday, the Elderberries will hold a coffee morning in Dobcross Church, from 10.30am to noon.
Then at 2.30pm visitors can meet at Dobcross Band and Social Club for an intriguing history walk with Alan Schofield — “When Dobcross Had Shops” — followed by tea and scones at the club at 4pm.
In the evening, from 7.30pm, there will be a vintage concert at the club featuring the Dobcross Brass Monkeys, with soloist Ian Strachan, followed by Big Jim’s Disco. Tickets are £5.
And on Sunday, the Dobcross Vintage Fete begins at 1pm with a coffee shop from the Dobcross Coffee Shop team.
The Band Club bar will be open and Dobcross Band Ensemble will be play and there will be a plant and craft stall.
