Pub has a lot to Crow about

AN Oldham pub has been voted the area’s CAMRA pub of the year - for the second year running.
The Carrion Crow in Huddersfield Road has also claimed a distinguished prize in the Marston’s Pub of The Year awards 2015, that of cask ale winner for the Western region.
The double success earned praise from Peter Alexander, chairman of the Rochdale, Oldham and Bury branch of the Campaign for Real Ale: “This is a deserved award for a pub which is very much a part of its community,” he said.
“It is so heartening Tony and Julie Robins have brought the pub to such prominence and, importantly, inspired their regular customers to support them in what they are doing. Well done!”
Pub landlord Tony, who took over the pub five years ago, said: “We’re delighted with the two awards.
“We have a fabulous bunch of loyal customers and these underpin their support.”
The local CAMRA branch is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and tonight from 7.30 pm has a special film and quiz night at the Carrion Crow
