FIRST Choice Homes Oldham has been shortlisted in the national Responsible Business Awards 2015 for a staff health project.
The housing organisation is one of nine North-West businesses, including the Co-op Group and Manchester Airport, which have been shortlisted by the charity Business in the Community.
FCHO has been nominated for a staff-led initiative, “Live Well”, which offers staff health assessment kiosks, free flu jabs and cholesterol checks, a walking challenge, help sessions and information on stopping smoking, nutrition and exercise, cancer awareness, dementia awareness, mindfulness and yoga. The programme also includes a free health care plan.
The Responsible Business Awards is the UK’s longest-running awards programme of its kind. The awards celebrate companies which take action to address social and environmental issues, and benefit their communities.
Finalists will be recognised at the North West Responsible Business Gala Dinner on June 16 in Manchester. Winners will then be announced in London at Business in the Community’s Responsible Business annual gala dinner on July 7.
