Dawn swoops: 11 face court on drugs charges

ELEVEN people arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in Oldham will appear in court today.
They were arrested in dawn raids yesterday under GMP’s Operation Plumbline crackdown on heroin and crack cocaine. Police raided 15 Oldham addresses, arrested 14 people and seized drugs worth £5,000.
Adnan Arshad (23), of Keble Avenue; Mohammed Shahzad Butt (24), of Chamber Road; Hamza Illahi (28), of Burlington Avenue; Aden Simpson (22), of Warcock Road, Peter Arthurs (49), of Finchcroft, Daniel Whelan (23), of Kingston Avenue and Liam Scullion (24), of Scotland Hall Road, Newton Heath, have been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine. Lorraine Kenny (41) and Ann Marie Grima (46), of Oakenclough, were charged with being concerned with the supply of heroin and crack cocaine. Emmanuel Richards (35), of Union Street West Oldham was charged with supplying heroin and crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply. Kriss Scott (25), of Coppersmith Drive, Miles Platting, was charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply. A 24-year-old from Newton Heath received a caution for possession of cannabis.
