Standby for a colour blast!

DR Kershaw’s Hospice is set to paint the town red - and green, blue, yellow and orange - for its latest fundraising appeal.
The Royton-based hospice has joined Revolution 96.2 radio to hold Oldham’s first “Colour Blast” event, a fun-run in which participants are covered in brightly-coloured cornflower.
The colourful run, at Alexandra Park on September 27, already has several local businesses signed up to run. The hospice is hoping more than 1,000 people will take part.
Dr Kershaw’s fundraiser Angela Higham said, “Other charities have raised tens of thousands of pounds by holding these runs in which runners are doused in brightly-coloured cornflour.”
Matt Ramsbottom, owner of Revolution 96.2, said: “This is exactly the kind of event our listeners will love; we’re delighted to be helping.”
