Building firm racks up record revenues

Oldham construction and fit-out firm Medlock FRB has surged to record turnover..
Results for the year to December 31 show sales leapt 69 per cent from £11 million in 2013 to £18.54 million in 2014.
New clients included Whitbread, JD Wetherspoon and Curzon Cinemas, while the firm also carried out projects for long-standing customers such as pub operators Greene King, Joseph Holt, Hydes and JW Lees.
Medlock, owned by its management and employing 62 staff, is based in Greengate Street, Oldham, and operates nationwide.
The firm’s strong growth has continued this year, with first-quarter revenues up 20 per cent, and Medlock is forecasting full-year sales will top £20 million.
Medlock finance director Colin Drury said: “The company has achieved record sales and further progress against our business plan. Our customer base has been strengthened with the addition of a number of premium brands.
“We have had an extremely strong start to 2015 with first-quarter sales 20 per cent above target and the completion of some excellent projects.”
