Take a stroll

ANYONE aged 50 or over is invited to join Age UK for a scenic stroll every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm.
The dementia friendly strolls will take place in Uppermill with the group meeting at the side of Warburton Court, just off Uppermill High Street.
RSF Off-road Cycling Club is staging a guided ride around Saddleworth on Tuesday. Those taking part should meet at Lime Kiln Cafe, Brownhill Visitors Centre, Uppermill for a 10.30am start.
THE Friends of Saddleworth Museum are hosting a coffee morning next Wednesday at Uppermill Methodist Church from 10am.
GET the children out this summer for some fun and games at the Saddleworth and Lees Children’s Centre on Tuesday. The sessions, on Cooper St, start at 9.30am. Similar activities take place at the Saddleworth North and South Children’s Centre, Wellington Road, Greenfield, from 1.30pm. For more information call 0161-770 5964.
JOHN Garforth, the Trading Standards and Licensing manager, will attend Saddleworth Homewatch’s next meeting on Wednesday, September 16, at 7.45 pm at Uppermill Conservative Club. His talk will include the control of opening hours, crime prevention, public safety, public nuisance and child protection.
