THE parish community of St Chad is holding a coffee morning on August 1 at St Chad’s Parish Centre in Station Road, Uppermill from 10–11.30am.
The event is in aid of the Disaster Relief Emergency Fund.
A PRINCESS and Pirate Party is being held at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday as part of the Saddleworth Handmade Festival. The free-to-enter handmade market — from noon-4pm — is dedicated to children with a private party room for ticket holders. Tickets cost £20 from www.creativenetwork-saddleworth.co.uk.
DIGGLE Diamonds’ coffee morning takes place tomorrow at the Hanging Gate pub, Huddersfield Road. Running from 10.30am-noon, there will also be a cake stall.
A COFFEE morning is being held at Uppermill Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 29. Running from 10am-noon, the event is to raise money for Saddleworth Cancer Research UK.
RSF Off-road Cycling Club is holding a guided ride around Saddleworth on Tuesday, August 11. Those taking part should meet at Lime Kiln Cafe, Brownhill Visitors’ Centre, Uppermill, for a 10.30am start.
JUDGING for the Saddleworth in Bloom competition will take place on Wednesday, August 5. The five categories — large, medium, small, community and container — will be judged by a panel which includes the chairman of Saddleworth Parish Council. Anyone wanting to enter or nominate a garden should call 01457-876-665.
