CHRIS Laker was the star of the show for Delph as they triumphed in a Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership runfest at Golcar.
Batting first, Delph racked up an imposing 50-over total of 300 for seven, largely thanks to Laker’s terrific 126 (139 balls) — his first ton for the club — and 69 from in-form Greg Buckley.
The hosts struggled to keep up with the run rate required in their reply, eventually being restricted to 268 for eight. Wasim Qasim took four for 83 for Delph.
WOODHOUSES fell to a huge defeat at Greene King Lancashire County League leaders Prestwich.
Replying to the hosts' 293 for eight at Heys Road, 'Houses were skittled for a paltry 75 in what was a shock collapse following some excellent form in recent weeks.
