A CHANCE to share the oche with former world champion Michael van Gerwen is up for the grabs for the winner of the Moston Open on Saturday week.
The Lightbowne Club on Kenyon Lane is the venue for the competition on July 25, and entries — they cost £7.50 per player — are now being sought from local hopefuls.
The winner on the day will take home £250 in prize money, but not only that, they will also qualify for the prestigious Oldham Night of Champions event, which takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on December 11.

Appearing alongside Dutch PDC favourite van Gerwen at the Night of Champions will be Bobby George, former BDO world champ Mark Webster, Aussie star Simon Whitlock and Scottish ace John ‘Hendo’ Henderson.
Vincent van der Voort will play, as will Kim Huybrects, while Oldham town team star and current England international Mark McGeeney has also qualified for the showpiece event.
Former Sky Sports darts commentator John Gwynne will MC both events, and is organising the Moston Open.
