Warriors take on Crosfields

RUGBY: WATERHEAD Warriors bid to bounce back from their thumping defeat at the hands of the league leaders when back at home tomorrow.
David Orwell led the coaching team which had to watch as 14-man Warriors were put to the sword by Hunslet Club Parkside. That 74-2 defeat — the two points from drop goals — was the ninth in 10 league games for the struggling Peach Road club.
Tomorrow at Waterhead Park Warriors face a Crosfields side seventh in the 11-team division. Two points could potentially lift Waterhead two places.
In division one, Saddleworth Rangers face Normanton Knights away. The Greenfield side, without a point from 12 games, threatened to break the duck when recovering from a 34-6 half-time deficit against fourth-placed Pilkington Recs last week. At one stage it was 34-24 with all to play for, before the away team eventually pulled clear.
Craig Farrimond’s side is up against a Normanton outfit third in the table.
Oldham St Anne’s are without a fixture in Division Two.
