OLDHAM St Anne’s, Waterhead Warriors and Saddleworth Rangers were celebrating when the latest Rugby Oldham Amateur Club Challenge trophies were revealed.
Saints took the senior team honours with the best record of 10 wins and a draw from 22 fixtures.
Rangers produced a strong finish to snatch the junior title, while the man of steel award, sponsored by Jos. Parr (Alco Ltd), went to ex-Waterhead player-coach Chris Hough.
The winner in 2013, Dale Lowe then of Waterhead, along with Saints duo Adam Walker and Kiel Lancashire, were also in the running for the £500 prize.
Meanwhile, Rangers under-15s are counting down the days to their week-long tour of France.
The 16 teenagers and 19 parent assistants head across the English Channel on May 26 to Perpignan, the base of Super League club Catalan Dragons.
As well as playing two games, Rangers will also make the use of the excellent amenities on offer in the area. The trip has been two years in the making, with a variety of events helping to fund the trip.
