Dynamos’ cup delight

THE talented reserve team at 3D Dynamos have added the Gee Cup to their Huddersfield League Reserves Division Three title thanks to a 3-1 final win against Cumberworth ‘B’.
Tom Milnes (two) and Danny Laithwaite (penalty) were on target.
Dynamos thumped Berry Brow ‘A’ 8-0 in the league courtesy of strikes from Danny Heywood (four), Milnes, Laithwaite, Rob Thwaites and Marc Pogorzelec.
Moorside wrapped up promotion from Division Four with a superb 5-1 victory against Salendine Nook.
Andy Thorp (three), Nick Warhurst, Ben Goodge and Lee Rainford scored for Uppermill in a 6-0 win against Cartworth Moor.
In Reserves Division Four, Uppermill crushed Black Horse 8-0. Scott Thompson (two), Chris Woods (two), Adam Fitzgerald (two), Andy Tither and an own goal registered.
AVRO have enjoyed a double boost as their FBT Manchester League campaign draws towards a close.
In the Premier Division, they won 2-1 at Elton Vale, and in midweek followed up with a 2-1 home win against Beechfield United in the Manchester Challenge Trophy.
Springhead have won two top-flight games – 1-0 at home against Dukinfield Town and 1-0 at Atherton Town.
Royton Town defeated Stockport Georgians 2-0.
Hollinwood will end their Division One season in fourth place after they closed with a 4-2 victory at Irlam Steel.
Jake Jacobs (two), Alan Beckett (two), Mike Brickill and Kieron Atkinson scored for Uppermill reserves in a 6-1 win against Boothstown.
LANCASHIRE Amateur League high-fliers Failsworth Dynamos crashed out of the Manchester Cup, losing 3-0 at home against Wythenshawe Town.
Oldham Hulmeians were thumped 8-1 in Division One.
