DELPH’S Drakes Huddersfield League double-header weekend was badly affected by rain.
Yesterday’s Sykes Cup first round tie at Hoylandswaine was called off without a ball being bowled.
The two teams will try again on Sunday.
On Saturday, Delph’s Drakes Premiership clash at home against Golcar was abandoned after the visitors had scored 256 for nine. Both sides had to settle for two points apiece.
Wasim Qasim took five wickets for 84 for Delph.
WOODHOUSES lost their second game on the spin in the Greene King Lancashire County League.
Hosting Prestwich at Belfields, the visitors took first knock and scored 226 all out. In reply, ’Houses could only reach 175 all out as their early-season woes continued.
