New recruits are voice of students

OLDHAM College has appointed two new student governors to oversee the way the college is run.
Mike Hyde, who lives in Denton, studies at University Campus Oldham and Zobia Azam, from Rochdale, studies at Oldham College.
Their roles involve attending and contributing to governing body meetings as well as advisory or consultative committees.
Mature student Mike (41) is on the business management degree course.
After successfully completing her diploma in the multi-professional cadet scheme, Zobia (16) is now on the extended diploma and predicted to achieve a distinction.
